Chilean Wines

Chile has extraordinary conditions for winemaking: with more than 1,500 kilometers of different vineyard valleys, these are privileged by a unique geography, surrounded by natural barriers such as the Pacific Ocean in the west, the Andes Mountains in the east, the Atacama Desert in the north and the Patagonian ice in the extreme south, in addition to having a Mediterranean climate. This allows Chile to produce unique wines of excellent quality.

Chile's vineyard valleys, which extend from north to south, all have varied characteristics that provide a diverse variety of grape vines, which have great quality, personality, varietal character, intense color and delicate aromas.

The Chilean wine offer has more than 350 exporting wineries, with a diverse array of niche, signature, small production, natural, organic and biodynamic wines.

This richness and specialty of products reflect respect for the environment, sustainability, and local communities, something that is part of Chile's culture and history.

The history of Chilean wine begins with the arrival of the Spaniards more than 400 years ago. In in the nineteenth century, production was influenced by the French and then modernized in the decade of the '70s through the arrival of spainard Miguel Torres to Chile, who updated the production methods, causing a development in the use of technology for the production of Chilean wines. This milestore began a path of innovation that is accentuated today.

Chile is valued as a supplier of reliable, sustainable and high quality wines worldwide, a prestige that has made it the fourth largest exporter of bottled wines in the world and the first exporting country in the new world with high added value. These wines are for people who want a different, surprising experience and to live a journey through the Chilean geography.
